Hungary participated in the twenty-eighth edition of the Eurovision Song Contest Tengaged which was hosted in Luxembourg, Luxembourg. The Hungarian entry was selected through the national competition A Dal 16, organised by the Hungarian broadcaster MTVA. Hungary was represented by Ádám Szabó with the song "Together". The entry qualified from the second semi-final and finished 6th with 144 points.

Before Eurovision Tengaged[]

MTVA announced that Hungary will participate in the twenty-eighth edition of the Eurovision Song Contest Tengaged.

A Dal 16[]

The format returned to the previous system format with 2 rounds. MTVA presented the 4 candidates with some familiar faces in it.

A total of 20 country juries took part in the jury voting, whose votes were added up to the televoting later. The final started on 20 August, ending on 30 August 2017. The winner announcement took place on 24 November 2017 where Ádám Szabó was announced as the winner and won the right to represent Hungary in Eurovision Song Contest Tengaged 28 with her song "Together".

At Eurovision Tengaged[]

On 28 November 2017, the semi-final allocation draw for the Eurovision Song Contest Tengaged 28 took place. Hungary was drawn to perform in the first half of the second semi-final.

Ádám Szabó finished in sixth place with 144 points recieving 12 points from Belgium, Latvia and Monaco.

Voting[]

Hungary participated and had to vote in the first semi-final. In the final, Hungary announced their votes as 8th.
